About Me
Emily Huntingford is an actor with a passion for comedy, physical theatre, and classic work. Frequently cast as saucy maids, charming Reality TV hosts, and animals (mostly birds), Emily is able to develop bold, audacious characters that catch your attention with their humor and then win you over with their unexpected heart and complex emotional core.
Emily graduated with a BA in theatre from Whitman College, studied at the British American Drama Academy in London, and has continued to develop her craft with many physical theatre, physical comedy, and clowning workshops. Recently Emily has appeared in The Master and Margarita (Natasha/Ensemble) and Much Ado About Nothing (Beatrice) with Dacha Theatre, Backyard Bard (Ferdinand/Orsino) with GreenStage, and ________. She has also worked with the 14/48 Projects, Copious Love, Washington Ensemble Theatre, Taproot Theatre, UMO Ensemble, and as a guest artist at the University of Washington.
One of the highlights of her career has been her work with the series Dice, where a small ensemble of actors learns an entire Shakespeare play, and every night, the audience rolls the dice to determine who plays which part. Emily thrives on the intersection of rigorous text work and character analysis that goes into the rehearsal process and the spontaneity, big choices, and high energy performance that this format demands.
In addition to acting, she is a producer and the Director of Development with Dacha Theatre in Seattle, WA.
